Don’t die with your music still in you

I recently answered a question.

From my experience, although there is no direct relation between a psilocybin journey and a near-death experience, they may share some subjective similarities, such as:

An altered perception of time – minutes may feel like hours, or vice versa.
Dissolution of ego or loss of self-identity
Both can be mystical or spiritual experiences, such as a feeling or sense of oneness with the universe, etc.
Both experiences can involve vivid and sometimes otherworldly imagery or sounds.
Both experiences can include intense emotions, from extreme joy and love to fear and despair.
Both experiences can lead to long-lasting changes in values, beliefs, or attitudes toward life and death.

Some differences are:
A near-death experience typically occurs during a life-threatening situation or physical trauma and involves a sense of detachment from the physical body, whereas a psilocybin experience usually does not.

Soma and sacred mushrooms teaches and shows through experience while in that altered state. As in daily life, death can also symbolise endings and new beginnings.

This morning, Rhodi-Anne pointed me in the direction of a talk by Wayne Dyer, and I could not help tying it in with the above.

In the talk, he said, “Don’t die with your music still in you. If you are wondering what your purpose is, don’t stop creating. Your thoughts about your purpose are your purpose trying to connect to you.”

A near-death experience or a psilocybin journey can help you come to terms with exactly where you are in your life right now and help you take that first step. Often, only small changes and adjustments need to be made to start you along the road of releasing the music from within.
