Made from salvaged shipping timber, gathered and transported 800km across the country. The table is made from red and yellow pine and is 2.6 metres long (8.5ft). Finished off with a hard protective coat of water based varnish, I have always had great pride in re-telling the story how the total cost of all materials came at approx. R800.00 (about $80 at the time)
Although incredibly heavy and also due to its length is difficult to move around, it has been used indoors and outdoors and is currently due for a touch-up.
