The idea of building a “biltong box” inevitably evolved into a grander idea. This “box” is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for drying and curing of meat at various speeds and methods. A drawer system allows for drying of fruit and fruit rolls. Building this out of reclaimed wood is also not the best idea, but when the mind says build, we build 🙂 It also has not actually been used more than once more twice…mmmm, which makes we wonder why I still have it…
I also discovered this idea became a bit too grand and I made it too complicated. Since then I have removed the electronics and simply control the temperature manually with individual light switches.
