Eileen has been living in the barn loft for more than two decades. Normally freaking me out just a little, especially if I had to go in there at night. Recently I had an excuse to take her down and clean her carefully. She is missing her arms. My initial hourly heart attacks have disappeared and she is now standing quietly in the corner of my lounge, leaning slightly to the left. She is a model companion.
Today she is showing off a rainbow wrap which I gifted to my crochet guru. It is the third item I have crocheted since I learnt and started 6 weeks ago. The first two items, a poncho and a very beautiful violet wrap, are equally as special to me. As with most things in life, I have a “why” and after some practice am ready to start this. It may take quite some time. In the meantime, I am very proud of what I have learnt so far.
